ahhhh...today's really fun!haha...as everyone knows...the downpour today didnt look very different from a waterfall...it kinda reminds me of China... me and nodame were on the way to my house...when we alighted..we saw people crowded at the busstop showing not much signs of life..when i chatted excitedly to nodame about how we'll brave the storm because i wanted to get home quick..the people turned and glared at me like i didnt deserve to live-.- so we clutched our umbrellas tight and walked into the rain..my skirt was immediately soaked..on reaching the junction..we found that the open drainage was completely covered up with water it could pass for a pond..nodame didnt even know it was a drain..the muddy water was gushing out from the drains and our path disappeared beneath the torrents..i was comtemplating turning back..but adventurous nodame just slushed through the water slowly but surely...i followed and almost got swept off my feet because the current was strong...after passing through that..i thought i could face anything...but then lightning and thunder turned pretty violent so we had to seek shelter in the shophouses...the coffeeshop was also jammed with stoning people..some appeared to be smirking at the sight of me and nodame.. after waiting for quite some time..we saw this primary kid braving the elements..making us feel guilty of our cowardice so we stepped into the ankle-deep flood once again..cars passed by us without offering us a lift..-.- as we ascended the hill the flood eased.. finally!home...we were soaked to the skin.. guilty as my intentions are..i have to say i kinda enjoyed this experience..it's been really fun!but without nodame..i wouldn't have dared to venture into that "pond" and would have been stuck at the busstop for hours.. |
