i got my class
we were allocated our tutorial classes today. it was early morning and the J1s were positively abuzz with excitement. i slouched cross-legged on the floor, resting my head on my palms, right elbow propped on my thigh. another new beginning. i used to get jittery at the idea of meeting new people. after this week-long orientation, i was sure nothing could scare nor bore me further(not that i didnt enjoy the entire orientation).i got into the same class as May from my OG. well, at least not completely alone. She figured out the way to class. 10s06N. cool. then i found out this was a PCME class. sigh. i skipped up nervously to mr kamel and explained that i was supposed to be in a BCME class. he assured me that he would check things out before school ended. interaction was fun. this class was fun. i met dawn, my childhood playmate. surprise reunion. wow. we played games and i learnt how to play the 10-cent coin game. i felt at ease, though i still hate having to repeat my names so many times because of it's rarity. people find it hard to believe their ears when they hear it the first time. most cedarians taking BCME got into the same classes. maybe i would be transferred into their midst. maybe i would be thrown to a rojak class like cass and wang sao. whatever it is, i'm just praying hard that it would be as fun and welcoming as this first class. the plus side of this is that i would have 1 more class of friends compared to other people. the bad side would be that it might take a week to get me relocated, which by then, most would have settled and lessons would have already begun. i would be the oddball again, a repeat of this not-always-pleasant first week. |
