life is but a very fragile state.

We were in the Critical Control Unit.i stood staring at this someone, whose whole frame had shrunk considerably since the stroke, whose red-rimmed eyes could barely be opened, whose strength had long been drained, tenously sucking the air from the oxygen bag although she had none the energy to continue.

suddenly, an alarm beeped intermittently from a machine just beside the bed.i glanced up in shock.there were several numbers on the screen as well as several jagged lines, showing various indications such as heart rate etc. My eyes widened as i looked at the heart rate.140+ bpm. Before i knew what was happening, it plunged to 104bpm. Then it was yoyo-ing up and down from 110-140. I could only gape in shock.

The doctor took a hundred years to arrive.Serious ineffiency i would say.We all were chased out while they did some life-saving.Now i understand what it means when people say "it felt like an eternity".

The tortured look on her face.I am anguished, yet helpless. The countless needles stabbed into her paper-thin skin, the patches of brown and red on her face, the white of dead skin peeling off her hands, the swell of her arm and veins... ...

Dear Lord, please watch over her. Whatever it may be, be it for the best.
