Recovering from post-concert fatigue
and before i know it..concert's over..band's over :'(it was the BEST EVER concert..our repertoire was awesome and we played our hearts out..i loved hokkaido, nightflight, warabe, arabesque, cinq preludes, samba express etc..a feedback for hokkaido was that it was "hair-raisingly good"..of course it might not be true for everyone..mr oura smiled proudly at us after every piece and mouthed "good", which just made my heart swell..playing in vch was the right choice after all..cheaper tickets..smaller hall size which enabled our music to fill up the entire hall..and a more informal atmosphere..all created the right setting for us to stage this awesome concert..
at the end of samba..the audience cheered and whooped and everyone was "high"..then they began chanting encore encore like they really meant it and i whipped around and gave lucas that :0 face because this kind of thing don't usually happen..not for non-professional bands..most of the band were pleasantly surprised too..and for the first time (for me at least)..mr oura engaged the audience and invited their participation in the clapping for the encore..it was really cool the way he did the 3 different claps all together..we all cheered wildly because it was the first time we were seeing it too..and he was so cute he swayed along with us during joe haisaishi XD best conductor really:)
it was my first time walking out from the backstage to be greeted by 2 rows of audience wildly cheering and screaming and hands sticking out with flowers..it shall be stored in my memory as one of the most magnificent moments ever..it was like walking down the red carpet..never would be able to experience that ever again and i'm glad i have had this fortune..samuel's gungho friends began chanting "SAX GOD SAX GOD!!" the moment he appeared..super funny..and they kind of taupoked him haha..
on a personal level..although i didn't play perfectly and missed out a few parts here and there..i'm satisfied..except for the run-up to high B flat, i didn't miss out any parts consciously like i always have..i practised hard and fortunately for me i found my embouchure quickly (which doesnt happen all the time)..i made extra efforts to squeeze out the high notes i never even would've bothered trying in the past..all-in-all..it was just amazing..
on the flip side..this phenomenal ending on such a high note has amplified my post-concert emos:\ it's like this huge feeling of emptiness all of a sudden..everything happened too quickly..it's hard to stomach really..
