Nike Goddess 5K Run
My very first run ever! The weather was so terribly hot and humid that they actually provided 2 hydration stations for a 5km run. It was really crowded so my focus for the most part of the race was weaving in and out of crowds in a bid to shake them off. Kris and i were zooming here and there and i think that pissed some people off. Well, they chose to walk all the way so don't blame us. It felt SUPERB when i finally saw the finish line in the distance because my bladder was almost bursting and it was taking me all effort to hold it in. It was quite a good run actually..lots of willpower involved. They had a race village at the end. Being one of the earliest to complete the race, the race village was not crowded when i reach and YAY FREE (not really free considering we had to pay for the race) SOYATO ICE CREAM AND A GENEROUS SPREAD OF CHOC ECLAIRS, DANISH PASTRIES, MUFFINS ETC. i totally went crazy and started eating although i'm not supposed to eat immediately after such intense exercise. The feeling of the cool ice cream was (Y). I also downed a whole bottle of 100 plus, something i would never ever do because gassy drinks upset my tummy. And it did.
At the race, i saw quite a few familiar faces! I saw Wen Rui, my band junior, Amadea (surprise surprise 0.0), and some senior&junior batches of Cedarians who were from Track.
I completed the race in 30.20, slightly off target but i give myself allowance, given the crowd hehe.
