A hiatus for a year, where so much has happened. Every single little event used to be so memorable for me, because i make an effort to make them momentous, personally. But now, everything feels like one big chunk; so much happening in too short a time that i feel like i'm losing track of things. That said, i dont regret the decisions i've made. Not for coming into Medicine, not for being with my og, not for signing up for my ocip, not for ifg, not even when things screw up quite badly. I'm slowly starting to come out of my limiting shell, breaking free of my inhibitions.
Today, i took a break from the craziness and had some quality time with my og celebrating mooncake festival. I had my reservations when deciding to go, especially when i was quite tired. I'm glad i stopped my anti-social side from taking over, or i'd have missed this amazing gathering. I don't always enjoy all of our gatherings, and even when i did i might not have felt so comfortable being in their presence. However, this was one of the good times when i dont feel left out, when i feel that everyone is at ease and allowing each and every person's presence be acknowledged, rather than the attention just be centred on someone. We talked, we laughed, we had pizza for dinner, mooncakes courtesy of Keg's parents, we played sparklers and did childish things.
Taking my time off to pen down this incident..hopefully i wouldnt lose myself in the long run, if i can hold on to these moments, these carefree memories..
